Create and organize links
Use the creation options, duplicate handling, link details, and list filters to keep links usable.
Use Customize link deliberately
The Customize link sheet keeps optional link metadata out of the primary flow. Custom URL combines an optional namespace with a slug. Campaign is available when Campaigns is enabled, Tags are useful for list filters, and Expiration is plan-aware.
- Paste a destination into Long URL and open Customize link.
- For a readable address, choose a namespace or No namespace (root URL), then enter the custom name.
- Add tags or choose an active or scheduled campaign if those controls are available.
- Review the summary and select Shorten link.
Reuse or create a duplicate
When the destination already has a SimpURL, the web app opens an Already shortened dialog. Copy an existing result to keep clicks and analytics together, or select Create new anyway when the placement needs its own link.
- Review the existing short paths and their click counts.
- Select Copy to reuse one of them, or Create new anyway to continue with a separate link.
- For Smart Paste, use Keep analytics together to reuse matching links automatically across enabled sites.
Organize from link details
Open a link and use Overview, Analytics, Organize, QR code, or Actions. Organize exposes Tags and Campaign. Actions can include Edit destination, Set custom URL or Edit custom URL, favorite, archive, and delete according to access and plan.
- Use Organize to add or revise tags and campaign assignment.
- Use the list filters for tags, namespaces, campaigns, search, sort, and density.
- Use Actions only when you intend to change the underlying link, not just its placement on a Profile or Page.
Plan for readable addresses
Custom names use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. A namespace becomes the first path segment. Free and Starter custom URLs are set once per link; Pro and Teams can change existing custom URLs when the workspace allows it. A namespace cannot be edited or deleted after a link has used it.
